Long Term casues
The long term causes of the revolution would be that the people were just too fed up of the monarchy system, how the kings and queens could do anything they want and receive no consequences, how the words they speak were final. Also, hey had suffered enough from the political inequality, where the upper two classes (Around 2% of the entire population) could live without any worry of hunger or sleeping on the streets, being able to live lavishly while they had to sleep on the grounds or in torn up houses that could fall in on itself any time. They were tired of having to pay all the taxes and do all the work while the upper classes could enjoy life to its fullest without having to break a single sweat, having all the luxury they want. Another reason was the food shortages, where there was now a lack of food and the people became restless and hungry. One more long term reason would be the wars that France was having with other countries, the death toll was too high, many lives were sacrificed for meaningless reasons. After many years of inequality, they finally couldn't take it more and struck back at the ones that were controlling and using them like tools, which resulted in the revolution
